Small forms are rarely “naturally” small, but rather come into being as “small forms” through processes of condensation and abbreviation. The collected volume focuses on such operations of miniaturization. It includes procedures for selecting, reducing, concentrating, and transposing, allowing for systematic access to heterogeneous types of small textual forms.
